Well, I can't believe it's nearing one month since I wrote my last post about performing random acts of kindness. Obviously, I've let that little project completely slip through my fingers and out of my life. However, that doesn't mean that it's all forgotten. I have been busy, but that's probably a terrible excuse.
I did have an amazing trip to Washington DC during April. You can check out some of my photos at my site: www.jchuaphotography.com. It's always such a joy to be able to spend time with old friends, especially friends that you haven't seen in 5+ years!! That is entirely way too long to go without a visit! I enjoyed one week of finding my inner child and learning to play all over again. Big thanks to Reagan and Jordan!! Why did I ever let my inner child slip away?! Never again!! I toured the International Spy Museum which was really cool and really, really big. It was so much bigger than what I expected. I still remember the cover which I chose. I suppose I can pass for a 21 year old Italian travel agent traveling to Hanoi, Vietnam for "business." Tsk tsk. The new memorials were quite amazing: World War II, Korean, and Franklin D. Roosevelt. Shopping at Eastern Market was so much fun despite the very warm weather! I found a wonderful new treasure during our shopping excursion: a pretty pink scarf, of course!! All of the photography was so inspiring to see, inspiration abounds, doesn't it? By the way, I heard part of Eastern market caught on fire a week after we were there, but I hear they are planning to rebuild. Yay! I would've been sad to hear that the market would no longer be there. All in all, it was a great visit with wonderful, old friends!
Upon my return home, I attended training for my yoga certification in Austin. To think...we are all going to get to know each other very well over the next eight months. I am happy about this opportunity to make new friends! But I was wondering...where are the men? I must admit, I am hoping that we'll have a few guys in our class. I've just not yet met a guy that was into yoga (not just the practice but the all-encompassing life of yoga), and I thought it would make for an even more inspiring journey to be able to speak with a guy on that level. Well, first day of class is this Saturday. I'll keep you all posted on this particular question!!
Let's see...Oh yeah, I saw Bernadette Peters in concert and she is an amazing entertainer! I didn't really know what to expect, and I have to say, I was surprisingly pleased. She performed at The Grand Opera House in Galveston, TX. That was my first time to see a show at The Grand. I loved it!! It's not too big so it has a wonderfully intimate feeling which I much rather enjoy than the big theaters. Oh, it was all just a great experience and I feel blessed to be able to enjoy such things!
I've been coming and going and I think it's going to continue until the end of the year, but I love it!! I'm not stressed....I'm definitely never bored....I'm living my inspired life and hoping to touch a few people along the way. So, yes, I do plan to continue with my random acts of kindness! I hope you'll return to my blog to share my journey with me! Until the next time....love life and live it to its absolute fullest!!
Namaste,
Jennifer
