(February's message from the PHY monthly newsletter)
Is a statement such as this reserved only for conversations on love? No, I don’t believe that to be true. PASSION can be described as an intense emotion compelling feeling, enthusiasm or desire for something. That “something” can be any number of things. One can live with passion for Love, yes, but one can also cultivate a passion for Joy, Food, Giving, Celebrations, Dreams and so many other facets of life.
I love spending time with my almost 11 month old nephew, Camden. He lives life with absolute passion every single day! You should see him when he drinks his milk! Try to take it away from him and you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about! :-) We enjoyed a much appreciated break from the cold last weekend when Mother Nature gifted us with sunshine and
warm weather. I was over at my brother’s house and we were outside letting Camden walk around. I took out my camera to get a few photos of him. He was so quick I had to run to try and get a good shot. Since I was having a challenging time trying to get a good photo of Camden walking around, I decided to try and take a picture with him. He did NOT want any of it! He was kicking his little legs and squirming to get out of my grasp. What he wanted in that moment, what he desired was to be free and walking! Wouldn’t it be wonderful to cultivate that much passion for the small and big things in our lives? It’s a great lesson learned
from my nephew ~ to simply be in the present moment of what you desire and live it with great passion! So, don’t let anything stand in your way… not even an aunt who grabs you from your fun to take a silly photo!
